Kapil Sharma’s popular Netflix comedy series, The Great Indian Kapil Show, has officially been renewed for a second season. The much-anticipated premiere is set to air on September 21, and ahead of its release, Netflix shared a teaser video that has fans buzzing.
The clip, posted on Netflix India’s official Instagram page, offers a glimpse of the lighthearted banter between host Kapil Sharma and his first guests: Jigra stars Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, director Vasan Bala, and producer Karan Johar. As expected, Kapil wasted no time engaging his guests with his signature wit.
In the video, Kapil humorously complimented Karan Johar, saying, “You are looking handsome, Karan sir. Can you tell me one thing? Now you’re on my show, so when am I coming to your film?” In his usual playful manner, Karan replied, “For that, you need Jigra! Jigra!” Kapil quickly quipped, “Should I open my chest and show my Jigra?” To which Karan responded with a laugh, “We don’t have that much Jigra to see you shirtless!”
The fun didn’t stop there, as Jigra director Vasan Bala chimed in, joking that Kapil would show “true Jigra” if he let Alia tie a rakhi on him. Kapil, in his characteristic style, replied, “Bala sir, I don’t have that much Jigra!”
The stars of Jigra will be promoting their upcoming film, which is set to hit theaters on October 11. The film is expected to face stiff competition from Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, releasing the same day.
